ABOUT THE KAZAKHSTAN COMPETITIVENESS COUNCIL

The Kazakhstan Competitiveness Council (KCC) is the market development task force at the Kazakhstan’s National Chamber of Commerce. Established in 2012, the Council focuses on transforming the post-Soviet transition economy, addressing economic vulnerabilities and driving private-sector competitiveness initiatives. Working closely with the Government of Kazakhstan, KCC was instrumental in introducing the Kazakhstan’s Yellow Pages Rule for limitation of state interference, improving tax, customs, labor regulations, designing digitization priorities. Since 2016, the Council has been acting as a permanent advisory arm of the Prime Minister.
