Taddy is a Senior Partner in the Innovation Practice at Lippincott and one of the world’s leading innovation experts. Taddy assists senior executives around the world improve innovation outcomes and drive growth. He specializes in new business creation, product development, innovation process improvement, and organizational transformation. A best-selling author, Taddy is also responsible for original research and innovation thought leadership at Lippincott.

Over the last 15-years, Taddy has collaborated with Harvard Business School Professor and innovation authority, Clayton M. Christensen, on the publication of The Innovator’s Solution (HBP, 2003), Marketing Malpractice (HBR, 2005), and Know Your Customers’ Jobs to be Done (HBR, 2016) as well as on numerous advisory and research projects. With Prof. Christensen, Taddy has co-authored a bestselling book on Jobs Theory and the science of customer choice, Competing Against Luck, (HarperCollins), released in October, 2016. Working with Prof. Christensen to share their unique tools and frameworks to senior executives and entrepreneurs in emerging markets, Taddy has led projects for more than 50-companies in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and The Philippines to help companies launch new growth businesses.

Prior to joining Lippincott, Taddy was a Principal and Leader of Strategic Innovation at The Cambridge Group, where he helped companies create regular, scalable innovation success via practical consumer demand driven innovation processes and applications. Taddy also led Nielsen’s Breakthrough Innovation Project and was the lead author of the annual Nielsen Breakthrough Innovation Report (Nielsen.com/breakthrough) 2012-2016. 

For the past 20 years, Taddy has worked actively with Endeavor (www.endeavor.org) — a network of 2000+ high-impact chief executives in emerging markets. As a Senior Advisor, Taddy mentors Endeavor Entrepreneurs — helping them build profitable growth companies, create jobs and energize entrepreneurial ecosystems.

Taddy began his career in the Venture Capital / Private Equity Industry, working for Advent International both in the US (3 yrs.) and Latin America (2 yrs.). He transitioned from finance to operations, managing five venture backed businesses — four of them technology/internet related and one with retail, manufacturing, and real estate development business units.

Taddy holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard University. At Harvard Taddy worked as an Independent Researcher with Competitive Strategy authority, Professor Michael. E. Porter, to develop and implement strategies for competitive inner city economies.
