Yasmin Hilpert joined the GFCC team as the Director of Policy and Engagement in Summer 2017. With ample experience in the European private sector and international organizations in labor and human rights and the industrial and technology policy field, she specializes in digitization, industrial policy, innovation and technology, labor market transitions, and regional and metropolitan development.
Before joining the GFCC, she worked as a consultant and high-level strategic advisor on multiple projects regarding the future of work, and technology transitions and their impact on societies and welfare systems on various platforms generating dialogue between academia, companies and labor leaders in order to jointly fuel innovation and growth that will benefit all. With an international background, Yasmin holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in political science from Humboldt University Berlin, Germany, is currently getting a Ph.D./Dr. rer. pol. at George Mason and Humboldt University and worked as a policy advisor and consultant to international labor organizations in Brussels, Belgium, and in Geneva, Switzerland.
